DS90CF384A Unused pin

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90CF384A

Hi

DS90CF384A Unused pin

Do not use the one lane of DS90CF384AMTD.
If you do not want to use the "LVDS port (input) and CMOS / TTL (output) port",

please teaching the terminal processing method.

Best regards

  • Hi,

After looking through the datasheet and some of our characterization documentation, I was unable to determine for sure whether we had a fail-safe internally or not. Therefore, I advise that you implement an external fail-safe circuit on the unused LVDS input so that the output LVCMOS/LVTTL ports are in a known state if they are still connected to anything. More information about implementing fail-safes can be found below:

    www.ti.com/.../snla051b.pdf

For the LVDS lane that is unused, in addition to implementing a fail-safe circuit, you can leave the LVCMOS/LVTTL outputs floating if they do not need to be connected to an end display.

    Regards,

    Michael
