            Does SN75LVDS83B support LVDS 1280x800 (10.1”) resolution ? If not, has any suggest device? Thank you.

    Hi Patrick,

    To estimate whether the SN75LVDS83B supports 1280x800, we can use the following to ensure that the pixel clock frequency is within the range of the serializer:

    1280 x 800 x 60 fps x 1.2 (factor for estimating total blanking period) = 73.728 MHz

    Depending on the number of frames per second and the actual blanking period interval (horizontal and vertical), the actual pixel clock frequency will vary.

    Since the SN75LVDS83B's PLL spans 10 to 135 MHz, it should be able to support 1280 x 800, assuming refresh rate of 60 fps and 1.2x blanking period.

    Alternatively, you can take a look at other devices that support this range, such as the DS90C385A.
