Hello forum:

With respect to the TUSB2077A device, do you know if it is configured via USB from the Host?

I’ve seen other Hubs that need configuration data sent via a UART/I2C/SPI – which requires a separate MCU or extra data channels.

For our application, we need something that is configured via USB so a single USB cable can be used to connect the Host and Hub. 

Any feedback or input is welcomed and appreciated!

    Hello Paul,

    The TUSB2077A can not be configured via USB. The Hub provides pin strap configuration for some features including self or bus powered, custom VID and PID, 6 Mhz or 48 Mhz source clock, over current reporting.

    The TUSB4041 device is a four-port high-speed hub which provides OTP ROM, Serial EEPROM or I2C and SMBus slave interface for custom configurations. It can be configured through a single USB cable.
