SN65LVPE502A SWAP

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVPE502A

Dear Sir

May I config SN65LVPE502A as below ??

P and N are swapped at the same time

  • Hello Kai,

Your connection is correct, it is even possible to swap the lanes polarity if needed for a better layout, thanks to the implemented polarity inversion detection on the physical layer of the USB3 protocol (only valid for the SSTX and SSRX lanes).

    Best regards,

    Diego.

  • Hi Kai Hsiao,

Yes you can swap lane polarity on LVPE502.
For most redrivers you can swap polarity at input, then, swap it again at output.
For USB 3.0 you can have just one polarity swap and physical layer will correct it.

    Regards
