Hi Nat,

Sorry for the delay on this. Our design team did confirm that the device has been designed to support hot plugging (i.e., no glitches on power-up and high-impedance bus pins when unpowered). We have also verified this in the lab in order to be sure. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Yes, SN65HVD72 and SN65HVD75 also support hot plugging.
