HELLO,


How can i test the serial RapidIO with external loopback with cables.
since the x4 lanes are terminated on VPX Connector. whether i can loopback the Tx and Rx with direct routing of PCB traces on broughtout card (or) is there any specific precautions to be considered for loopback.

is there any card available in market to loopback it

    Which generation of SRIO are you using? Is it SRIO 3.0, similar to 10G-KR at 10.3125 Gbps?

    We only have EVMs that we can offer. We do not have any pre-made cards to implement what you are trying to do.

    If so, you may want to consider the DS100KR401 for your x4 application. This is a 4-Lane redriver with PCB Rx EQ and Tx VOD gain and de-emphasis to improve signal integrity. In addition, the device can be placed in loopback by applying the appropriate setting to the LPBK pin. You can try this with 2 lanes if you look at the DS100KR401EVK.
