TCA9535 and impulse detection

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA9535

Hi

I need to detect impulsions on TCA9535 inputs.

Once a rising or falling edge is detected on inputs, i understand that the TCA generates an interupt.

I cannot figure out how to recover the inputs changes pattern in case of impulse exitation. Indeed, in case of impulse excitation, the final input state gets back to original state and eventually I don t have the time to check wich input has changed.

Thanks in advance

  • Hi Francois,

Unfortunately, our I/O expanders do not support this functionality. They are level controlled, for example, when the input switches from high to low, the device will see that the voltage is low and send an interrupt. If the input switches back high before the register read happens, then the interrupt will be cleared. It will not latch interrupts.

    Thanks,

    Siby
