currently i am implementing a USB-SS design using tusb8041 and i am wondering why there are no TVS-diodes used in the EVM-design? Prior to this project i designed a HUB using cypress HX3. There the proper method to conduct the signals to the USB connector is explained in more detail, e.g. accesing the TH-pins of the connector from the bottom side in order to prevent reflections from the pin-stubs - of course you need to change the side once than and you will have additional discontinuity induced by the vias - however, in TI's example design you won't find these sophisticated things as well as a TVS diode, which would also add some portion of discontinuity. ...Why??? Could a TI Pro please give me some recommendations on thic concern.
