Dear Technical Support Team,

 

I have a question about PCA9306.

 

    Can we use 33MHz pulse signal?

    It's not I2C signal,  but like I2C signal without speed.

    So we'd like to use PCA9306 with following condition.

   

   ・Max 33MHz pulse signal

   ・No Direction pin control(Auto)

   ・level shift(1.8⇔3.3V)

　 ・open drain

   ・Bi-directional

 

    Datasheet "9.2.2.3 PCA9306 Bandwidth" describes that it can use over 100Mhz digital clock.

    Hi,

    Yes, the device can support higher speeds for other interfaces, but has been tested for 400kHz I2C specifically. Meaning, that the 33MHz clock that you are planning to use would be okay, depending on the voltage that you choose.
