HD3SS215 and SN65DP141 schematic review

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HD3SS215, SN65DP141

Hi,

My customer CZC used HD3SS215 and SN65DP141 on one IPC project, attached files are schematic, could you please help review the schematics and comment?

for HD3SS215,

1> Do you suggest customer to add common choke on A/B ports?

2> there is not series cap for all differential signals, are the series caps needed? if yes, which side need to have the caps (sink or source)?

3> Can all AUXxx signals be used?

For SN65DP141,

I have not reference schematic on hand, please help review and comment.

  • Hi Sean,

    Regarding HD3SS215
    1) Common choke depends on the noise of the environment, customer has to determine if is needed.
    2) This is an HDMI passive switch, no AC caps are needed.
    3) AUX mux is active, you can use it.

    Regarding DP141
For control pins please use external 1k pullup/pulldown, some pins have weak pullup/pulldown better place external resistor. REXT has 1.2k, this is the right value.
What is the configuration you want it control pins? GPIO or I2C mode? why SDA and PWDN has test points?
