We are using a TI USB hub chip, TUSB8040A1RKMR, on one of our designs. We have it configured with a USB 3.0 upstream with 3 downstream ports enabled.
We are seeing some strange behavior where full speed and low speed devices sitting behind the hub are not detected by the BIOS. This prevents us from using a keyboard to enter into BIOS config while the computer is booting. These devices work fine in windows.
If we plug in 2.0 or 3.0 devices, detection works fine by the BIOS.
We would like to know if you have any ideas of what is going on.
