In 2.5V mode the VDD pins are tied together to an external 2.5V rail, however in 3.3V mode, the VDD pins are supplied by the internal regulator. The datasheet recommends each VDD pin gets it's own 0.1u cap, but should the VDD pins also be connected to each other?
The reference design buses them since it's a configurable board, however the figure in the power supply recommendations section of the datasheet does not show them bused together. The datasheet makes it clear that VDD should not be connected to a power source in 3.3V mode, and that caps are still needed, but is not clear on if they should also be connected to each other.
Is there harm in connecting them together (noise, etc)?
