TUSB9261 serial# characters numbers on FW 1.05

Dears,

My customer want to know, what will be the different of 12 and 14 characters serial#?

They are using flash burner v2.10.0 and FW v1.05, and they need set 12 or 14 digitals serial# with "0" to keep all USB devices have same serial#.

As user guide statement, the Max. is 64 characters for serial#. Is there any problem for such setting?

What is TI suggestion for serial#?  12 or 14 characters?

    The BOT specification says:

    The serial number shall contain at least 12 valid digits … The last 12 digits of the serial number shall be unique to each USB idVendor and idProduct pair.

    So it does not really make sense to use more than 12 hex digits.
