Hi,

Hi,I cannot find the configure ID to EVM for 12v@3A from PD source mode.tried all required config ID.

still getting 5v or 20V.any idea about that kindly share it here!

    Hi Prasad,

    Using the base firmware (that is loaded on the EVM before shipping), there are 7 Configuration IDs with a 12V source PDO (0, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 12). The voltage that is negotiated will also depend on the sink capabilities and other configuration settings of the sink (such as "Ask for Max" voltage, "Prioritize by Voltage," etc.). For example, if the sink profile is configured to "Prioritize by voltage", the highest voltage PDO will be negotiated that is shared between the source and sink. Please see the TPS6598x Configuration GUI and its associated user guide for more information on these configuration settings (www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware).

    If you power up a TPS65982-EVM in CFG ID# 2, and connect it with the Type-C cable to an EVM in CFG ID#7, you should find that a 12V contract is negotiated on VBUS.
