TUSB4041 How to restart power supply for each down stream port

Hi,

My customer requires to restart VBUS for each down stream port when some problems occurs on USB devices.

Is there any method to restart VBUS?

Does "Port Used Configuration Register" use for this method?

If there is any lack of information, please let me know.

Hello,
You can't force the VBUS, it does not work like a "chip select"
VBUS is controlled by the Host controller, when an overcurrent condition is present, the Host controller is going to shut VBUS off and it will re-enable it after some requirements are met, the Hub can't control this.

I have an additional question.

Can we control each PWRCTLx/BATENx-pins by Battery Charging Support Register?
I'm thinking that we can restart the VBUS by the power switch such as EVM.

Hello,
No, the Battery Charging Support Register is only used to configure the battery charging support enable/disable, it can't be used to control the PWRON# pins.
