DS34RT5110 HDMI 1440p resolution UNY

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS34RT5110

Looking for an HDMI interface that can support 1440p resolution.  The description for the DS34RT5110 calls out the latest HDMI 1.3 and states: "  The latest version, HDMI v1.3, supports a single-link bandwidth up to 340 MHz (aggregate data rate:10.2 Gbps) to support the demands of future HD display devices, such as higher resolutions (1440p), . . ."

However, the DS34RT5110 is NRND.  If it is for the latest HDMI, wondering why it is NRND?  I don't see any other HDMI devices that show 1440p support - have I overlooked something?

  • Hi Leonard,

I have discussed this with Nasser, and the DS34RT5110 is listed as NRND due to some jitter issues the team has observed in the CDR segment of the channel.

However, if the DS34RT5110 is used as an equalizer only and the CDR and de-emphasis is bypassed, the device is able to work as expected.

    Regards,
