Hello,
Could you tell me which equalizer or repeater IC support the V-by-one interface? (www.thine.co.jp/.../THCV215.html)
Condition: 1. The frequency support up to 3.75Gbps data rate.
2. The working voltage is 1.8V.
Thanks!
Achilles.

Hi Michael,
It's good news for me, I will try this IC(DS38EP100). Thank you!
But I found a question on PCB layout, because of some connectors pin define limited, if the differential positive pin has to connect to IOA+ of DS38EP100, the negative pin has to connect to IOA- of DS38EP100 then these two pins will cross each other on my PCB.
I check the datasheet, no data show IOA+ & IOA- are input, or IOB+ & IOB- are output pins, right? So, can I connect the input signal to the IOB+ & IOB-?
Or connect differential positive pin to IOA-, negative pin to IOA+? What should I do?
Thanks!
Achilles.
Hi Achilles,
Either of your routing solutions are good. Since the DS38EP100 is symetrical between the A - B ports and the Plus - Minus pins you can adjust the routing so that you avoid crossing the signals on the PCB. I have included the two examples below.
SYS+ -> IOA- (EP100) IOB- -> SYS+
SYS- -> IOA+ (EP100) IOB+ -> SYS-
SYS+ -> IOB+ (EP100) IOA+ -> SYS+
SYS- -> IOB- (EP100) IOA- -> SYS-

Hi Lee,
Thanks your reply.
But I have another question, could the DS38EP100 apply to AC coupling signal interface, like V by one signal?
We also link capacitances between TX IC and RX IC on V by one interface.
Very your sincerely,
Achilles.
Hi Achilles,
Yes the DS38EP100 is fully compatible with AC coupled signals.
