I2C switch support hot swap

Hello,

Can our I2C switch TCA954x series support Hot swap or not? The datasheet just only specify support hot insertion. If can't support hot swap, do we have any I2C switch to provide? Thank you.

Sorry, I know this is confusing but this particular switch I2C switch is supported in the I2C forum. I will move this thread to that forum. Sorry for the multiple moves.

Hi Patrick,

Please refer to this previous response in e2e, e2e.ti.com/.../416177.

It describes what hot insertion is, also, to give some information on the difference between that and hotswap. Hot swap would be defined as having the main SDA and SCL lines remain in high-impedance as to not affect the bus if the whole device was removed.
