TPS65982 Mux available for USB3.1 G2

Hi Team,

Can the integrated mux of TPS65982 work at 10Gbps? This is just I want to clarify, because I have learned HD3SS460 which is passive switch can work.

Hi Yada-san,

The integrated mux of the TPS65982 is a High Speed mux cable of USB2.0 speeds only (480Mbps). In order to do 5Gbps or 10Gbps you will need to use an external SuperSpeed mux. The HD3SS460 is capable of 5 Gbps USB3.1 Gen 1 and AM Including 5.4 Gbps DisplayPort 1.2a, therefore for 10Gbps you will need to choose a different mux.
