Dear Sir,

We have another question from customers.

The customer needs HDMI in and HDMI out like HDMI repeater(one to one), but their IC has not the function of HDCP. So, They need repeater IC to do it.

Which IC can achieve this function？

Hi Mikey,

HDCP is a a form of digital copy protection. Source and sink share keys through DDC to send encrypted video.

Our devices have DDC buffers, the, they support HDCP too. Besides, our redrives just deal with electrical signals not with protocol information(just a small monitoring of DDC for HDMI2.0)

Depdngin on the data rate you need, you could use TMDS171 for HDMI1.4 or TMDS181 for HDMI 2.0
