DS125BR800 - Redriver - X1

There are no register changes that are necessary to put the redriver into a different lane width. The redriver does not use any mechanism to force a x1, x4, or x8 application. The redriver uses a signal detect circuit to determine whether there is traffic running to and from the redriver. If there is no active signal, the redriver will power down the channel and mute the output. Therefore, the control required to place your system to operate in x1 is up to your ASIC to initiate. The DS125BR800 will pass through whatever signal it receives, given that the signal is larger than the minimum signal assert threshold.

When you say that the system is not working, what is happening? I find it strange that the the redriver works fine in a x8 application. If you have any schematics to share, it will be helpful for us to debug this issue.
