Hi,

Could you tell me which function following Power supply is used for ?

*VDDA1P0 :

*VDDA2P5 :

*VDDA1P8 :

*VDDIO : (Is it used any function except I/O ?)

Best Regards,

Machida

  • Hello Machida,

VDDA1P0: 1.0V/1.1V. Core voltage for the PHY.

VDDA2P5: 2.5V. Core voltage for the PHY

VDDA1P8: Optional 1.8V supply. Used for reduced power consumption.

VDDIO: Configurable I/O voltage. Can support 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V.

Except for the VDDA1P8, all other supplies are a requirement for the PHY.

    -Regards,

    Aniruddha

  • Hi Aniruddha-san,

    Thank you for your reply.

You mentioned that "VDDA1p8" is optional 1.8V supply.
Could you please tell me which use case user should use this voltage domain ?

In my understanding, user can use this device just suppling only VDDA2p5.
However, if user can supply both VDDA1p8 and VDDA2p5, user can observe decreasing of power consumption of PHY than single voltage case (VDDA2p5).

    Is my understanding correct ?

    Best Regards,
    Machida

  • Hi Aniruddha-san,

Could you please send me your feedback ?
(The function which is used VDDA1p8 same as the function which is used VDDA2p5, right ?)

    Best Regards,
    Machida
  • Machida,

Your understanding is correct. The device can operate normally if the user supplies VDDA2p5 and leaves VDDA1p8 unconnected. By supplying both VDDA2p5 and VDDA1p8, users can achieve lower power consumption.
