Hi,

When using SN75DP130 to create DP++ Dual Mode the data sheet shows a schematic (figure 24) that uses FETs to short out the coupling capacitors on the Aux channel so it can be used DC coupled for DDC. Can anyone help with choice of FETs, I'm concerned that MOSFETs with body diode will affect normal Aux operation. Are there any example schematics of this setup, the eval kit does not use this scheme.

Any help appreciated.

Hello,
I think you actually mean Figure 23, you can configure the DP130 as in Figure 24 and get rid of the external FETs, nevertheless, I will ask around to see if someone has a reference schematic with external FETs.

Thanks for the reply. You're right figure 23, we were going for the external FETs as I think the other way requires some configuration via I2C, which we're hoping to avoid.

Would appreciate the schematic.

Hi Julian,

Unfortunately we don't have a reference design with external FETs, however eval kit works fine with DP++ as is, no I2C configuration is required.
I will send EVM schematic by email.
