Using DS25MB200 for 155Mbps data rate...

Dears,

Does anyone can help to explain, why DS25MB200 cannot use for lower data rate such as 155Mbps?

I know that DS25MB200 spec. is for 0.6~2.5Gbps signal.

However, as normal thinking, IC can handle with higher data rate and of course it will OK for low data rate!

Is there any limitation for such condition?

    Hi Peter,

    For lower speed signals I would recommend the DS15MB200.  It can handle all the way down to DC.

    The DS25MB200 has some internal AC coupling which prevents lower signal rates from working.  For this reason the datasheet places and lower limit on the incoming signal.
