Hi all
Would you mind if we ask TUSB211?
We would like to confirm one point.
If the DXP or DXN port are added VBUS voltage, their ports got permanent damage, do they?
Kind regards,
Hirotaka Matsumoto

Thank you for your reply always!
We recognize the absolute maximum ratings for DXP and DXN.
On the datasheet P5, the datasheet shows DP,DM high voltage short circuit(T(SHRT_VBUS)) and DP and DM low voltage short circuit(T (SHRT_GND)).
It shows "DxP or DxM short circuited to VBUS supply continuously for 24 hours at TA = 25C only".
So, does it mean DxP or DxM are not broken with VBUS short, does't it?
What is the difference between T(SHRT_VBUS) and the absolute maximum?
Regarding above, please refer to the following files;

We need your help.

Thank you for your reply!
When is the datasheet (which we mentioned on the page 5 is about to be removed) released?
If it is possible, could you let us know?
Kind regards,
Hirotaka Matsumoto
According to the ECN, it's recommended for D+/D- to withstand a continuous short to VBUS.
Do you have any workaround by adding anything externally?
A customer asked us to provide a solution to withstand the short to VBUS.
