TUSB9261 removable storage device

We use TUSB9261 to connect Sata memory module.
When SATA is attached,it is connected as a fixed mass storage device.
Could it possible to change it as a removable mass storage device.

Unfortunately no, the default firmware can't be changed.
Why do you need it to present as removable?

Our customer ask us SATA memory module appear as removable driver same as USB memory stick.
We are looking for alternative possible solution.

We just delivered several test units to our customers.
We will ship more than 10K units for several years.
Currently we are using TUSB926x_FW_v1.03_SATA_NO_POLARITY_SWAP.hex firmware.
