Our customer has a question about SN65LVDS315.
I'm posting the question for the customer:

Can the SN65LVDS315 be used as a simple 8-bit serializer without HS and VS signals
for Non-MIPI CSI intarface ?

We need only a simple 8bits-serial data stream.
(SOF or EOL are unnecessary.)

When HS & VS pins are tied to GND, LVDS315 does not generate SOF or EOL inserting data.
Is this correct?

This is not a standard application but it may work, using MODE=LOW to avoid the generation of SOF.

I have a question.

I understand using MODE=LOW to avoid the generation of "EOF".

"SOF" is generated by a VS transition from low to high, isn't it?
In no VS transition, I expect that SOF and EOF are not generated.

Is this correct?

Sorry was my typo,

You are correct, SOF is generated upnf VS positive transition and is not generated when MODE=LOW, as well as EOF.
