SN65LVDS049 - Vod

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVDS049

Hi all

Would you mind if we aks SN65LVDS049?

The datasheet on P15 shows as followings;
-This 350 mV is the absolute value of the differential swing (VOD = |(V+) - (V-)|).
-The peak-to-peak differential voltage is twice this value, or 700 mV.

VOD is 250mV upto 450mV, so is it possible to output 700mV swing?
What does "The peak-to-peak differential voltage" mean?

We need your help.

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • Hello,

    Peak-to-peak (pk-pk) is the difference between the maximum positive and the maximum negative amplitudes of a waveform. The page 15 refers to the described application, please see the page 5, where you can find the actual VOD values for the SN65LVDS049. Using these values (VOD| Differential output voltage 250 - 450 mV) you can see that the peak to peak possible values would be from 500mV to 900mV.

    Regards,
    Diego.
