TPD4S014 Input Impedance when not conducting

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD4S014

Hi I have a product that uses TPD4S014 with an 10uF input capacitor. I was afraid that the capacitor might get eventually charged without a pull-down resistor but I noticed that the TPD4S014 has the voltage divider for the input comparison thats pull-down the input. How much impedance would be that resistor divder? Basically what is the input impedance when the TPD4S014 is not conducting? Is this internal resistor enough to discharge the input capacitor charged with eventual external static?  Regards

  • The internal resistance from VBUS to ground is 33.8 kohm. With a 10-uF cap that yields a time constant of 338 ms. From V = (V_initial)e^(-tau/RC)The voltage will drop according to the following graph:

Please let me know if that answers your questions. Thanks,
