TCAN1042-Q1; BUS wake up

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAN1042-Q1

Dear all,

Are there example of circuit design of using BUS wake up function of TCAN1042-Q1?

Best regards,

  • Yamamoto-san,

This part is supported in the industrial interface forum, so I moved the thread there for you.
  • Hello Yamamoto-san,

The bus wake-up function of this device does not require any special hardware implementation, so the circuit design can just follow standard CAN bus guidelines. The wake-up function works by detecting a filtered dominant/recessive/dominant pattern on the CAN bus. Once this pattern is detected, the RXD output will transition from high to low to signal to the controller that the CAN bus is active. You can read more about the wake-up pattern in section 9.4.3.1 of the current TCAN1042-Q1 datasheet (beginning on page 20).

Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is any other information I can provide.

    Best regards,
    Max Robertson
