Is it available to use DS90UH947 and UH948 without Open LDI mapping?

Hi,

I have a basic question. I am using combination of DS90UH947 and UH948 with Open LDI mode and dual mode.

Is it available to input and output as simple serdes I/F without relationship of Open LDI? It means that it is used to input from D0 on UH947 and output to D0 on HU948, D1 on UH947 to D1 on UH948, D2 on UH947 to D2 on UH948, and so on without Open LDI mapping.

Hello,

The Mapping is fixed as the 947/948 datasheet Mapping Select section. But I think what you want can be set by matching Mapping select, which is OpenLDI or SPWG at 947 and LSB or MSB at 948.

If I set the appropriate mapping for 947 and 948, can I use the Dx data lines not aware of the mapping as simple serdes interface?

HI,

Do the 947 and 948 devices care or use DE, HS, VS?　I think they care only the ordering of data on the Dx lines.

As far as you use HDCP, those control signal position have to be fixed.
