TUSB7320 | USB 3.0 Compliance test support

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB7320

Hi,

On a custom design, we are planning to use the USB3.0 xHCI Host controller TUSB7320.

1. Can you please share how to enable test codes support for USB 3.0 compliance testing of our board?

2. Also please share if there are any user/design guides available for designing a USB 3.0 compliant hardware?

regards,

Shareef

  • Hello,

The Host will automatically send CP0 when it is powered on and enter in compliance mode, the Host will enter in compliance mode when it detects the terminations of your scope.

You will need a fixture as the one in the attached picture, then you can send LFPS to the downstream port of the Hub using a waveform generator.

Another method is using the XHSETT which is a windows based tool provided by the USB-IF that can be used to put the Host in compliance mode.

you can download this tool from here

You can also find a procedure at the below link.
