I have a question and refer to the below.

Please send me your comment.

Q1 : I’m trying to use DS100MB203 part to duplicate 10GBASE-KR SerDes signal from linecard unit to switch unit(A/B).

If I use 10G-KR mode of DS100MB203 between Ethernet Switch and SGMII(or QSGMII) PHY, does DS100MB203 works transparently for Auto-negotiation function of PHY without problem?

Q2 : IF not, Please recommend other Mux Buffer for SGMII/QSGMII SerDes interface.

    Hi Eddie,

    Q1. The DS100MB203 is protocol agnostic.  It will not modify the digital data content of the SGMII/QSGMII signal.  Any negotiation done within the digital data will not be modified of changed at all.

    This type of buffer has been used successfully for SGMII and QSGMII applications may times.  AC coupling of input and output signals is required for the DS100MB203.
