Hi,
I have some questions about DP83849IF Auto-negotiation Time.

1)
I know that Auto-negotiation can be enabled by boot-strap when DP83849 is power-up.
After Power-up, When is the start timing of FLP bust(Auto-negotiation)?

I am seeing the Power Up timing on data sheet as follows.

Does the FLP bust is started soon after T2.1.1 + T2.1.3?

2) How long does it take to determine as an error if DP83849IF can't complete Auto-Negotiation?
And then, does the FLP bust(Auto-negtiation) stop at that time?

There are several variables that will determine the link time. Some of these will vary from link to link, but we can provide some guidance on the ranges.

After reset or power on reset completes, the auto-negotiation process will restart. As noted in the datasheet, the DP83849 will halt any transmit data and link pulse activity until the break_link_timer expires (~1500 ms).

The basic auto-negotiation process can take roughly 300 - 500ms. However, Auto-MDIX requires additional time for crossover resolution (at 62ms per crossover). The number of crossovers required will depend on the initial state of the DP83849 and the link partner.

OK, auto-negociation process will take roughly 300-500ms. And, Auto-MDIX time is added to be the time.

Please let me ask you one more question.This will be a last question.
When the auto-negotiation failes although the ethernet port is connecting, will the FLP bust stop?
Or Auto-negotiation process will re-start automatically?

Taka,

Auto-negotiation will continue trying to establish a link until some action is taken to stop it, for example, a power down, a reset or a restart of auto-negotiation. The PHY will continue sending FLP bursts during this time. The FLP bursts will not stop.
