TUSB9261-Q1 and TUSB9261 contradicts eval board docs regarding crystal connection and freq value

The specs for TUSB9261-Q1 SLLSEE2A (Jan14) and TUSB9261 SLLSE671 (Mar16) contradicts the evaluation board documentation SLLA315E (Dec14)with regard to the connection of the crystal circuit and its freq value:

Additionally, the eval board is using a 25 MHz crystal which is not supported by the TUSB9261.
Can someone please elaborate on the accuracy of the eval board schematic?  
 
Currently I have some 0-ohm resistors in my design so I can go either way but I would rather get it right the first time:
