Hi,

Based on insertion loss requirement which is described in "Cable Requirements for the DS90UB913A & DS90UB914A" app. note, my customer try to make sure the insertion loss of their system.

According to their initial measurement, the insertion loss(SDD21 performance) of their whole system shows good result when DS90UB914A-Q1 is NOT populated. However, if DS90UB914A-Q1 is populated, attenuation is larger than 10dB.

Can you please let me know the valid measurement set-up in detail?

Was the 914A applied power?
Did you use Coax cable and what is the cable length?

Hi Sugiura-san,

When customer obtained the result above, yes, the populated 914A was powered up.
My customer uses STP cable without PoC feature.

Again what I would like to make sure is valid test details of insertion loss.

You will hear more through your local FAE.
