We implemented a TUSB8041 on a test board and we can get USB 2 connection, but no USB 3 SS link.
The device is only enumerating as a USB 2 hub (and therefore all downstream devices are also USB 2)
Crystall is oscillating at 24MHz, no shorts, voltages within specifications etc...
We swapped the polarilty of the two SS links, as proposed in the datasheet for easier routing :
SSTXP <-> SSTXN
SSTXP <-> SSRXN
Can you confirm the device works with TX and RX pairs both swapped ?
We excluded pretty much everything, except this and swapping the IC itself with another one.
Are there other reasons why SS would fail to negociate SS speed ?
