Hello,
Our customer use the TCA9548A.
The spec of the I2C input fall time is 20ns+0.1Cb (min.).
But the customer inputs signal as less than 10ns.
Is it OK? Is there any problem?
Best Regards,
Naoki Aoyama
Hi Naoki,
Although, this is in violation with I2C specification, I have not usually seen an issue in performance. One thing to keep in mind is if you have a large amount of trace inductance, you may see a lot of undershoot.
Also, take a look at the new I2C specification for the fall time:
Thanks,
Siby
