TFP401A Power supply Ferrite Beads

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TFP401A

We are working on a TFP401A board used for HDMI to LVDS conversion. It is a 4 layer PCB with power plane layer for 3.3V.

As suggested in the datatsheet if Ferrite Beads (FBs) are used for the power supply rails AVDD, OVDD, PVDD and DVDD a separate trace is needed from each FB to the respective power pins. For ex, route

AVDD from FB1 to pins 82, 85, 88, 91

OVDD from FB2  to pins 18, 29, 43, 57, 78

PVDD from FB3 to pins 97, 99

DVDD from FB4 to pins 6, 38

Instead, with out FBs power pins can be directly connected to the 3.3V power plane through a via and respective bypass cap.

Are we not loosing the advantage of having power plane with the approach using FB decoupling?

Please advice. Thanks in advance.
