DS90CF384A RxOUT output timing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90CF384A, DS90CR286AT-Q1

Hi,

Q1. I would like to know if I understand it correctly.

RxOUT is output from DS90CF384A in synchronization with the rising edge of RxCLK OUT.

Q2. I want to use the DS90CF384A at 25MHz(40ns) of the shift clock.

Are RSRC and RHRC of f=25MHz same as a value of f=65Mz?

Best regards,
Seishin

  • Hi Seishin-san,

A1. Yes. the RxOUT transitions in-sync with the RxCLKOUT. This allows the endpoint display to strobe on the clock's falling edge.

A2. The setup and hold time minimum at f = 25 MHz will be slightly larger than at f = 65 MHz. For example, if you look at a similar device (DS90CR286AT-Q1), the RSRC and RHRC minimum values are about 2 ns longer for f = 40 MHz compared to f = 65 MHz. I think that for f = 25 MHz, you may see another 2 ns increase in the minimum. However, we do not have characterization data for this specific clock rate, as the most stringent RSRC and RHRC condition is at the maximum clock frequency.

  • Dear Michael,

    Thank you very much.

    I understand.

    Sincerely,
