Hi sir,

I need  a technical support regarding the TI line driver (SN65LBC179Q).

 

This line driver recommended supply voltage is 5V +/-5% only although the absolute maximum rating is up to 7V.

 

Anyhow, this part is used in existing product and also going to use in future product with supply voltage 5V +/-10% at temp -30˚C ~ 115˚C, the main reason is due to cost merit.

 

May I know what is the risk as supply voltage range is slightly different? (ex: higher voltage cause heat dissipation issue? Lower voltage cause any threshold issue?) Kindly advice.
