Hi Team,
My customer considers to use SN75DP120 and I was asked the following question.
How to do with unused main link outputs?
Can I leave the pin to be open?
Best Regards,

Hi Kensuke,
Is this an eDP application? will they use 2 lane only?
They may try DP119, this is a two lane repeater for eDP, the unused lanes can be left floated.

Hi Moises-san,
I would like to confirm just in case.
>the unused lanes can be left floated.
Can I leave the unused main link input pins (IN1p, IN1n, IN2p, IN2n, IN3p, IN3n) to be open as well as unused main link outputs?
My customer considers to use only 1 lane.
Best Regards,
Yaita
Hi Yaita-san,
If customer will use only one lane it will be IN1, and since DP120 monitor AUX link training, when it detects only one lane is used it will enable only IN1.
So you must connect to IN1 and may leave unused IN2, IN3 and IN4.
Regards
Hi Moises-san,
Thank you for your support.
However, it seems SN75DP120 doesn't have IN4 pin as datasheet page 4.
I assumed unused input pins are 2,3,5,6,8,9 pin.

I believe pin names of BLOCK DIAGRAM in page 3 is typo.. Is my understanding correct?
