Need a GPIO expander to replace PCA9571GUX

E2E,

I’ve a request to cross ref - NXP PCA9571GUX -> http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/PCA9571.pdf.  Would you please recommend the best replacement?

Thank you,

Adam

  • Hello Adam,
Does it have to be a functional cross or does it have to have the same foot print too?

  • Hello Francis,

    Please provide both.

    Thanks

  • Vincent,

Please see the following selection chart:

Just for more clarity I'll explain some of the features I state in the chart.

    RESET

Some I/O expanders feature a RESET pin, which offers the ability to manually reset the device using a microcontroller/microprocessor to toggle this input.

    Internal Pull-ups

Internal pull-up resistors has the benefit of saving both board space and placement costs for external resistors. Internal pull-ups are more useful for applications where several or all of the ports are set as an input and require pull-up resistors. Since the pull-ups are connected to VCC, increased power consumption will occur when the inputs are held at a low state.

    Hope this helps!
