TPS65982 current limit issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65982

Hi Team

We have use TPS65982 on our system , We use same PCB to check power limit.

We use TPS6598x Configuration GUI ( V1.3 ) FW on this PCB , Function is ok for 20V / 3A

we use new FW tools TPS6598x Application Customizer ( code is 1.11.00 )  , limit setting is 20V/3A

But power limit will start on 20V/1A.

Could you help to check this issue? ( EVM hace same issue )

  • HI,

Do you have any PD logs? Can you get a PD trace? Also can you share the Project configuration file?

What device are you using on the far side? What configuration and PDOs are set in it?

We don't find such an issue on our side. If you can provide the PD trace and configuration file, we can have a look to see if this issue comes in our system or not.

    Regards,

    Arun

  • Kerr,

If you disable all non-critical channels on an Ellisys PD Analyzer's SW - Recording Options section (only Channel 0 and Channel 1 needed for CC logic) it will significantly reduce the file size.

On a Lecroy PD Analyzer, you can disable USB2.x and USB3.x communication in a similar way using the the GUI front panel or Recording options.

Another option is to Export a .csv file, but the formatting is not always ideal in the .csv to mentally process the info.
