Hi,

Can you probide the current consumption on PP_CABLE and PP_5V0 while TPS65982 stayed in “Sleep” mode?

Besdies, is there a possibility to turn off PP_CABLE and PP_5V0 when TPS65982 stayed in “Sleep” mode?

According to the type C specification, VBUS and VCONN is provided only when a valid connection is detected, so PP_cable and PP_5V0 are not supposed to consume any power during sleep mode. But the internal circuit will still work at power management and type C detection, and the relevant voltage is VIN_3V3, corresponding current consumption about 58uA, according to the TPS65982 datasheet.

Hi,

Thanks. Now the situation is, the customer got around 1.5mW in PP_CABLE and PP_5V0 while TPS65982 stayed in “Sleep” mode.
They can't separate PP_CABLE and PP_5V0, but they implement a serial current meter to monitor PPV_CABLE and PP_5V0 power to get 1.5mW result.

I'm not sure about the customer's board. Is it TI's EVM? In this EVM, PP_5V0 and PP_cable are connected directly, while they are both linked to several LEDs, which are supposed to be lit when PP_5V0 is not used. Is it possible the power is consumed by the LEDs and relavant resistors and transistors?
