TPS65983 indicate

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65982

Dear SIr

This is TPS65983 + TBT3's project only 20V and 5V PDO

May I know

1, Can TPS65983 set DRP mode??

2. Can TPS65983 indicate what condition of TPS65983?? For example, GPIO1 indicate TPS65983 is DFP ,GPIO2 indicate UFP ,GPIO3 indicate 5V or 20V etc

Or TPS65983 can be used I2C to know what status of TPS65983

3. if I want change TPS65982 or TPS65983 from UFP to DFP ,should I reset TPS65982 or TPS65983 again?? Does PD3.0 have any change about this ??

Thanks

  • Dear Menon

    Thanks for your help

We a Alpine Ridge 4C project ,beside previous indicate question

We would like to do sink and source capability ,but I saw the reference design of AIC only can support 1 source PDO

I need 2 source PDO (20V and 5V) at least and this TPS65983's code have to work with Alpine Ridge 4C

    Please kindly help

  • Hi,

Currently the TPS65983 Tool supports only specific Intel reference designs. You can edit the number of of source PDOs in the tool, but system configuration is configured for the specific Intel reference design(for example the AIC TR template would have configuration for that project alone and may not be compatible with Apline Ridge 4C reference design)

We are in the process of releasing a new tool where the customer would be able to edit both system configuration and Source capabilities. Once that tool is online you should be able to configure the system as per your wish even though all templates for Intel reference designs may not be available.

    Regards,

    Arun
