For the XIO1100 chip, we have a non-working prototype PCB, and urgently need to get it working. There are no signs of life yet from the XIO1100 chip. To help us debug the problem(s), which may be due to an incorrectly mounted chip (the datasheet is useless in this regard), please answer the following questions. Are all of the VSS balls nominally connected to each other inside the chip? Same question for VSSA balls. Same question for the VDD_IO power rail. Thank you for your help...

Hello Bruce,
Not all VSS, VSSA and VDD_IO terminals are internally tied together. Please make sure you are properly connecting all of the terminals in the device.

We are (in theory) properly tying together all power and ground pins via our PCB. I was just trying to determine whether or not the part is rotated correctly on our PCB, and if the power and ground pins were tied together inside the chip, that would be a much easier project. Thank you for your answer.
