Question Regarding RMII and RGMII interface

I am having a general question regarding RMII and RGMII interface as we have one requirement.

In RMII interface , MAC to MAC interface is possible or not.
For RGMII , MAC to MAC interface is possible or not

Hi Nitesh,

By the standard, RMII MAC to MAC is not possible.

Most of our devices do make MAC to MAC connections of RMII possible by providing the decoded RX_DV signal.

RGMII MAC to MAC is possible by the specification.

Hi Nitesh,

A suggested part depends on your application. For 10/100 I'd suggest the DP83822.

For a 1000M device look at the DP83867 family.
