TS3USB221 "S" terminal

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3USB221

Hi,

I would like you to confirm that the device (TS3USB221) will be damaged in following condition.

* Vcc = 3.3V and 5V(Max 5.25V) is input to "S" terminal.

We understood that maximum High-level control input voltage(VIH)  is "Vcc".

So, I guess that 5V is input to "S" terminal is not good for device.

However, on the other hand, maximum data input/output voltage is defined 5.5V (it seems that this is not depended on Vcc)

So, when we confirm only this specification, above condition may be allowed.

Could you please confirm whether condtion of "Vcc =3.3V and 5V(Max 5.25V) is input to "S" terminal" will cause damage of device or not ?

And also, could you confirm whether TI can guarantee that operation under condtion of "Vcc =3.3V and 5V(Max 5.25V) is input to "S" terminal" ?

Best Regards,

Machida
