TUSB8020 in dual camera solution

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB8020B

Hi Bros,

My customer using our TUSB8020B in dual camera solution. The block diagram is below:

Now, only one video signal can be got at PC. Now, I guess the issue may comes from:

1. When the upstream port is connected to an electrical environment that only supports high-speed or full-speed/low-speed connections, SuperSpeed USB connectivity is disabled on the downstream ports. When the upstream port is connected to an electrical environment that only supports full-speed/low-speed connections, SuperSpeed USB and high-speed connectivity are disabled on the downstream ports.

2. Over current at OVERCUR1z

3. register config problem.

Do you have any suggestions what should I do when I met the problem? Like testing which points' waveform or how to identify the problem? Many thanks.

  • Hi Martin,

We will check your questions and we will come back to you soon.

    Regards,

    Gerardo

  • Hello,
You are correct, if the upstream connection is only full/low speed, then the downstream connections will be also only FS/LS.
Is the same camera the one that always fail?
Is the issue present when you use an SuperSpeed upstream connection? If so, then it should be a PC resources issue.
Are the cameras high-speed or full-speed?
What is the state of the OVRCURz terminals?
Can you share your schematic for review?
    Regards
